Pocahontas (1995) - 100 Years of Disney Animation

Up next is Pocahontas, and man, we are taking a serious dip in quality. We’re going from one of my favorite Disney movies, The Lion King, to what is, in my opinion, the worst movie in the Disney Renaissance and one of Disney Animation’s weakest efforts in general. Interestingly, though, both this film and The Lion King were in production at the same time. What’s amazing is that at the time, Pocahontas was projected to be the bigger hit, while The Lion King was just seen as a little side project. Further proof that Hollywood executives have no idea what the hell they’re talking about.
