And now we come to the most recent movie Walt Disney Animation Studios has put out (as of this writing), Strange World. Once again, this movie faced some difficulties when it first came out in theaters, but unlike Encanto, it ended up as Disney’s biggest financial flop since Treasure Planet. Though honestly, I feel like this failure had more to do with Disney not marketing the film properly than anything relating to the pandemic. And really, Strange World didn’t deserve it, because while it’s not perfect, it still has a lot to like.
